In this course we’ll explore getting started with a basic React Native application on both iOS and Android. We’ll learn about using React Native components, how to build custom components, how to layout an application using Flexbox, and how to style components.

We’ll also focus on how to use state to control components, how to persist information across application reloads with AsyncStorage, and how to inline edit in a ListView.

The ultimate goal is to gain an understanding of how to get started building simple React Native applications.

How will you use what you learned from this course?

Great course but a little bit hard to follow a long and to understand what each component actually does

Great, but a little behind in terms of the latest React Native versions and including the use of Expo.

It would be nice if it has some explanation of the ideas behind of the building blocks of React Native.

What did you like about this course?

I am new to working with React-Native and I really enjoyed this course because it highlighted for me a lot of the difference between working with React in the browser vs working with React-Native. Very informative and I really enjoyed getting to work all the way through the coding process from start to finish and not having to reference a repo to see differences between one video and the next.

What would make this course a 7 for you?

Thanks for the nice course. You make it look so simple :)

I was following you - typing everything on the way. (because that is how I learn.)

I could not catch your pace because of the extensions you used which helped you quite a lot.

Is there a way I can sync my Dev environment with yours so that I can follow along better?

What did you like about this course?

I found the course easy to understand and a great intro to react-native.

Turning off the auto-complete caption/descriptions in vscode would be welcomed as it was a little jarring whilst trying to follow.

    Thank you!
